Fishing Report -
August 2008
AUGUST 27, 2008
The trout are still biting strong. The flounder have slowed down.
I haven't had time to go looking for them, I've been to busy catching
trout. The spot tails (red drum) are schooling up now. I had a catch
last week of 10 that ranged from 12 inches to 32 inches with 8 of
them rangeing from 20 inches to 32 inches. We still have plenty of
bait in the bay and a good many tarpon to go with them.
We have some nice shrimp in Muddy Bay, but with all the rain we are
getting in the up state and NC they will be washed out in a couple
of weeks. ( Just in time for shrimp bait season). Shrimp baiting
opens Sept 12 at
12 noon.
